The Journey
This site shows the journey from collecting Mable from an ex WW2 Bomber Command Airfield and getting her back into running condition ready to be displayed again. She is available for hire and has been used a number of times at shows and special events so please contact me for more information.

Mable
Mable was built in 1943 as a MK2 0854 petrol tanker and was in a batch of 189 built for the RAF to help with the war effort. At some point during the war she was converted to a MK4 with booms added to the top of the vehicle. This was to allow easier refuelling of the new type of heavy bombers now entering service such as the Halifax and Lancaster.
